Good On You Get InvolvedGet Involved

Are you’re passionate about ethical shopping and sustainable living, a team player and can work autonomously? If you’re interested in paid, volunteer, intern or adviser opportunities we’d love to hear from you!

Depending on the role you can help us from your home or office, or from our office. Our community is buzzing with staff, interns and volunteers working to make the world a better place.

Good On You is on a mission to take ethical shopping mainstream and we can’t do it without help. To date we’ve had more than 500 people provide their time and expertise as volunteers, interns and pro bono advisers.

Ongoing Volunteer Roles

Ethical Detectives are the backbone of Good On You. As an Ethical Detective you will research brands using guidelines we’ve developed based on our review of the key issues that ethical consumers expect brands to address. Our methodolgy is backed up by the work of experts from NGOs, universities and industry.

Your work as an Ethical Detective will make it possible for more people to discover the ethical impact of more and more brands. Hours can vary to suit you. Ethical Detectives generally work form home but subject to space available can work from our office in Surry Hills, Sydney, Australia.

If you are self motivated with good attention to detail, apply here.

Senior Sustainability Researchers/ Verifiers are more senior researchers who review the work of Ethical Detectives to ensure there’s nothing overlooked and then add more detail including short summary text to describe the ethical impact of the rated brand.

Verifies commit 8-16 hours per week to the task. Some work out of our office in Sydney’s CBD, and others remotely – if you’re interested in this role, first read some info about being an ethical detective and then apply here.

Internships and Volunteer Roles

Good On You internships are typically for 10-12 weeks at 7-10 hours per week. They are most suitable for final year students and recent graduates who want to learn skills in the area of the internship while gaining experience in a social impact start-up. Good On You internships are unpaid, have specific learning outcomes and are often organised as part of a university program. Volunteer roles are negotiated on a case by case basis with the volunteer.
