More sustainable clothes for babies, toddlers, and teens
When did your little one start insisting they pick their own outfits? For Good On You’s Luis Rodriguez De Cespedes, his young daughter isn’t even kindergarten age and she’s already discovered her sense of style.
Meanwhile, Stephanie Haywood knows to avoid choosing for her teenage skateboarding son, but she’s hazarding a guess anyway for this month’s team picks, along with some cute selections for her young nieces.
It just goes to show that no matter how old the kids in your life are (whether you’re a parent, carer, friend, or family member), you’ll be able to find some great fashion options from more sustainable brands. Scroll on to discover some of them.

“Our daughter just started pre-kindergarten, which means mornings are all about speed so we can jump in a tuk-tuk before Bangkok’s traffic kicks in. The problem is that she also insists on choosing her own outfit so mix-and-match pieces are essential for us.
I love the fact that the colours in Nico’s kids’ T-shirts vary slightly due to plant-based dyes. Oobi’s floral hat works well with any of those tees, and will also come in handy for our upcoming beach getaways. Poplinen’s breathable chicory coffee toddler trousers are perfect for outdoor playtime in Thailand’s summer heat as they can protect her knees and still look presentable after messy play.
I’m also in the market for the biggest tote bag I can find that can easily throw in me and my wife’s laptops for co-working in cafes, after-school snacks, plus extra diapers and last-minute groceries when we’re on the go. PANGAIA’s 365 Oversized Tote checks all the boxes and can even double as a weekend travel bag.
We also have a couple friends joining our baby gang this year, so I’ve been thinking about what gifts we actually used in the newborn phase. Ettitude’s hooded waffle towel looks cosy and importantly is OEKO-TEX-certified and free from harmful chemicals. Early on, we quickly learned we had zero patience for anything but a onesie. Turns out Aster + Oak has a whole category.”

“It’s so rainy and cold in London at the moment, and I know my youngest niece would love nothing better than to cosy up in MiniMioche’s dreamy sleeper romper. The striped Breton-inspired design is perfect for the upcoming spring holidays in Brittany on the west coast of France, too, when it’s likely to still be a bit chilly.
Speaking of spring, these cherry gingham print leggings from Oobi will be a guaranteed hit with her older sister. Paired with a gorgeous tree-detailed sweatshirt from Nikin, they’re just the ticket for trampoline action all day long. I’d add these undyed frilly socks from Q For Quinn, too.
As for my teenage boys, I am no longer allowed to choose their outfits (you could even say I wouldn’t dare to!), but I’m pretty sure this Armedangels cap, and actually, the T-shirt worn with it, would win top marks from my style-conscious skateboarder.”
