Looking to upgrade your office clothes with ones that match your values? Not sure how to create a capsule workwear wardrobe? Good On You’s co-founders are sharing their advice and favourite items in this month’s team picks.
The go-to brands for more sustainable workwear, from 2 people who know
In the decade since Sandra Capponi and Gordon Renouf co-founded Good On You, they’ve dressed for countless events, meetings, and business journeys. And they’ve spent years meeting with and supporting small, more ethical brands, while advocating for consumer rights to know exactly how fashion and beauty brands are impacting key sustainability issues. So it’s safe to say they know the wardrobe items that work when you need to make an impression and, importantly, where to find the brands offering such wares that are taking responsibility for their impact and implementing meaningful sustainability initiatives.
For this month’s team picks, we asked them to share their expert recommendations from 16 brands they truly love, and that they’ve invested in themselves. Scroll on for their selections across both mens and womenswear, from brands that have been independently rated as “Good” or “Great” by our analysts.

Sandra Capponi, co-founder
“Working from home most days, I’m all about a wardrobe of minimalist comfort with a touch of luxury in the fabrics and detailing, from textured tees and premium jeans (I’ve trusted Aussie label Outland Denim for over a decade) to slip dresses layered with cosy knits or a classic shirt, which I find so versatile for dressing up a casual look (or channelling boss vibes). Occasionally I swap in more playful pieces from brands like LA-based Whimsy + Row.
I stick to neutral hues to make mixing and matching easy. Lots of black, admittedly, I live in Melbourne after all. And I invest in quality, lower-impact fibres like linen, organic cotton, RWS wool, and TENCEL Lyocell, often with subtle details like ribbing or decorative stitching that I really cherish the making of.
Of course sustainability guides my choices, so while my style is understated, I try to make a statement by choosing brands that match my style and values. I love labels that combine all these elements, like amt.studio, Artknit Studios, and Lanius, often discovered in Europe where I spend a few months a year connecting with my team and my heritage.
Wherever I am, when I’m running out the door, I tend to throw on a timeless duster (like this gorgeous one from FRSKÉ), some loafers and a scarf for a pop of colour and extra warmth — my mum’s vintage scarf collection never fails me.”
