Celebrating more sustainable brands from the UK
Since 2015, Good On You has earned a reputation as fashion’s leading source of brand sustainability ratings, having assessed more than 6,000 brands all based on publicly available data. Millions rely on Good On You’s ratings: consumers consult them for shopping decisions, the retail industry evaluates brand portfolios with them, and major media outlets cite them in reporting. Each rating analyses over 100 data points to determine how a brand is performing across three key issues: people, the planet, and animals. Then, brands receive a score across a five-point ratings scale, ranging from the lowest, “We Avoid” and “Not Good Enough” to the middling “It’s a Start”, showing the brand is taking some action to improve its impact. At the top of the scale are “Good” and “Great”, reflecting that a brand is being proactive in measuring and reducing its impact, and reporting on its progress. For more information on the ratings methodology and process, visit our How We Rate explainer.
Good On You celebrates “Good” and “Great” brands in its Journal, working to showcase these more sustainable businesses to consumers wanting to shop according to their values. To coincide with the British Fashion Council’s City Wide Celebration, we’ve linked up with some of the UK’s highest rated fashion brands to bring readers exclusive offers for the month of September.
